IE an end of season thing.


The riding season is fast coming to a close...plates are expiring, the temp. is dropping, the rains aren't here yet, but they're coming......  And some of us are cramming in as much road time as we can  ...

And yet, there is always someone who jumps the gun, or rather turns over a new page, whilst everyone else is closing the book .....( what a crummy little analogy, eh ? !!) 

Bob C. has delivered a surprise, a shock, caught everyone off guard, stepped up ...... he's added 401 cc's to his ride.................... A 650 Yammie.... Woops - 649 cc

Well done Bob           -        it's still  the littlest bike though  -   considered in 2014 to be a beginner's bike.
(only a Harley rider would say that)  Never mind - Bob's running with the big dogs now....

Whoa.....Gen Y is riding a 400cc . Now that's a move in the wrong direction 750 to 400 . The younger generation, honestly .............................

 I believe that's it for 2014. There's still a potential clankwagon blog, but so far there's been nothing but frustration with that little Harley (74 CI), so it'll have to wait...

The Captain Canada thing is mind boggling in that who fits cloths from 41 years ago ? I have cloths from 41 years ago, but...........            And leather jackets, I've noticed, shrink on the hangar every winter for some reason...... So, what gives here ??

WOW  --  here's a quiz for discerning viewers.  Gen Y is on a SuperMoto (???). Bob is on his 248cc crotch rocket. Al has the Devil's bike (#666). John is on the 850cc making it's first big run. And that leaves me, and yet, there are still 2 other bikes in the pictures...........................

(Can't stand how a blog needs to be read from the bottom up - who reads a book backwards ?)

(Major production issues. Snippet 3 is a Gen Y post. Vids are pending, no commentary. If unsuccessful, the the blog is toast (like BIL). The word 'snippet is also toast.)

The following is the gathering for the Circle Route -  and John's 850 Norton's maiden !

Ran flawlessly, but the great big smile plastered on his mug (Nortons do that) was hard to take after the first 30 minutes........... 

And then, the vid card was out of memory. Either inexperience, bad memory, or incompetence....

(Now, for our investors, (that's YOU, the viewer) there is a promise of fantastic future returns; however, patience is required to reap the full value of investment (ie viewing) ).

There has been blog worthy happenings in 2014 already, but it seems that MURPHY is calling the shots so far...  "memory card full", forgot the camera, took the camera but forgot to use it, used it but forgot to take the cap off, etc. Bad producer(s), bad director, bad key grip, bad best boy, even bad actors..... that sort of stuff.

THE     2014    BLOG-O-SPHERE    has arrived ..

With luck, there'll  be BlogWorthy events unfolding in 2014.  Stuff worth sharing.   Stuff worth viewing. Water cooler talk.....
Of course, the best laid plans......................


But first, a couple of points    ......

Hale (BIL) has been officially cut loose as co-author. His status as an non-contributor has finally been recognized. And with predictable results :  turfed !
While the partnership was originally viewed as the Dynamic Duo, with both players contributing alternate viewpoints, like Mars/Venus, and playing off each others strengths while producing an entertaining audio/visual blog complete with live action video; the burden of meeting production deadlines accompanied by entertaining commentary/video was simply too much for one little man, despite big broad shoulders. So, to share the  stage and spilt the accolades and awards was an affront to one's artistic talents and solo efforts. .......Hence, Hale is toast ! ( Plus he sold his Harley )

This Blog is now flying solo..

Secondly, apparently the Blog's ratings have been under some pressure lately. ( that's corporate speak for: the ratings suck  -  so cancellation is  imminent ) Therefore a suggestion of a restructuring has to be taken seriously. Considering that the Blog is presented advertisement free, and with no viewing restrictions, Blog support is thus solely dependent on viewers like you...............our 'partners'.......
Thus, an new format is called for. Something perhaps a bit more edgy. A little friction. Controversy or even confrontation. Something along the lines of a ... REALITY SHOW.

A PRELUDE TO THE 2014 BLOG


For our existing viewers, familiarity with the Chair, which provides "comfort" at the end of the driveway, will be old hat. Bur for new viewers, the Chair is..... a prop. A "comfortable" experience. It is a 'signature' type of thing. It suggests that riveting and edge-of-seat viewing is about to unfold ...
The Chair has also provided a certain notoriety to the owner/director/producer/star of our Blog. (Our ??)
It's been a conversation piece, and a controversial piece. Passersby have waved, they've stopped to talk, to make inquiries. But they've also honked the horn, they've stared blankly, and some have ducked for cover and run for the hills......................

So, you can imagine my consternation, my disbelief, my rage at witnessing the theft of the concept .
A neighbor with ..........a CHAIR at the end of his driveway.
A copy cat.
A wannabe.
Competition.
...no, it's much more that that.........
An insult.
A patent/copyright in infringement.

It's a declaration of war.             Chair Wars
